LIVE MUSIC & LESSON & CUBAN SALSA PARTY - Dorking! El Sur Cuban Collective! AUGUST 15-16 - Exchange weekend with Sassan from Germany in DORKING (Surrey).- For intermediate/advanced dancers. Friday - Sunday 2-4 AUGUSTCUBAN ALL STARTS Festival (Bournemouth). A Salsa Festival for everyone (including Absolute Beginners) in the Heart of Bournemouth. We taught Fun Rueda de casino, Rueda Switch and Structures together with a world class line-up of instructors and performers. Over 40 hours workshops Cuban, Bachata & Kizomba. 7-9th JUNE 2019 - "RUEDX: The rueda exchange" in Bratislava (Slovakia) Next RUEDX in Europe will take place in the beautiful Bratislava in only 2 months! This event is only for INTERMEDIATE and ADVANCED rueda de casino dancers and we will be teaching there and sharing some of our latest ideas together with two of the best teachers of the moment: Sassan Ito (Berlin) and Jaroslav Hluch (Bratislava)! Creative Celebrations event for Arts Alive - Dorking and Leatherhead -15th and 22nd September Our fantastic group of dancers did a demo for Rueda de Casino and partnerwork dancing and invited everyone to join with a line-up! Even the major! ;) We had a fantastic time thanks to Arts Alive! SalsaNor Rueda Congress (Málaga, Spain)- From 6th to 10th September - This is the biggest Rueda de Casino event in the world that we know of! And a group of us went on a crazy wild trip to the South of Spain for 4 days of dancing and workshops and parties with great dancers! SalsaJulia Party (Haywards Heath)- Friday 27th of July We had a fantastic night with the great crew of SalsaJulia and our Rueda Lesson ! Every last Friday of the month! FREE Salsa Party (Dorking)- Friday 13th of July A fantastic night of cuban music and great dancing with lots of friendly faces. Open to everyone, no partner needed (no lesson, just come and join the fun!) RUEDA STRUCTURES WORKSHOP, Lingfield (experienced intermediates ) - Sunday 8th of July Focus in new rueda structures: pa'fuera, mixta, contrario, llanta, etc... If you know the basic moves of rueda, you are be able to pick up new moves quickly and would like to try something new, please contact us! 22-24 June - RUEDX: The Rueda Exchange (Southampton) - We had the incredible opportunity to teach Rueda Switch during the RuedX Exchange organised by Hedge End Rueda in Southampton - two full days of workshops, and two cuban salsa party nights Saturday and Sunday. Saturday 27th of January -FLASHMOB IN DORKING We were invited to participate in a Fitness&Well-being event and it was amazingly fun!. We had a great turnover last Friday and the pub was very happy with it so hopefully we will be able to repeat it at some point - watch the What's On Section! In the meantime, you can watch a short video about the party HERE :) Sunday 21st of January - SALSA GAMES WORSKSHOP (vol.1) - Dorking We've decided to bring you a series of workshops in 2018. What we are aiming for is to teach you some tips and exercises that will help improve your dancing. Get ready for something different, as these might be quite challenging! But certainly will also be lots of fun! We have called them 'games' as the main skill that we would expect from people attending is willingness to do something new and to engage in to have a great time! The first workshop will run on Sunday 21st January and focused on the footwork, partnerwork and freestyle. We sold out the tickets and we know that some of you were interested to come, so we will inform you once we confirm the date for the next one. 9th December 2017- SALSA XMAS PARTY!! - Dorking We were delighted to see all of you there and meet and dance with lots of new faces as well! With more than 50 dancers in total! So a huge high five to everyone who came to our last Xmas party! Thanks to all the people coming from Hampshire, Kent, West Sussex, Essex, London and of course Surrey! Leatherhead Saturday 11th of November- PERFORMANCE AT DORKING HALLS!! Part of the Mole Valley Arts Alive Closing Ceremony. A night of really talented local artists in which we were invited to perform two songs including a rueda de casino with our amazing students! Thursday 26th October & Monday 30th of October - SALSAWEEN LESSONS!! Get your scary costumes ready and bring your most evil laugh when coming to our themed lessons that week! 7th October 2017- CHARITY PARTY- SOS CUBA!! - Dorking An amazing amount of £500 was raised thanks to the 50+ people coming to the party to help and support Cuba after Hurricane Irma*. 16th September 2017- PERFORMANCE AT ARTS ALIVE FESTIVAL!!- Leatherhead. Street Performance with our students as part of Arts Alive Festival 2017. 10th September - PIPP FEST PERFORMANCE, Dorking. Open air event in Pippbrook, including leading this year's Hug the Hub!. **** SUMMER BREAK ***** 24th June - SUMMER SALSA PARTY, Dorking. Celebrate our summer holidays! 22nd April - SPRING SALSA PARTY, Dorking. We had a fantastic evening with lots of fun and amazing people! 12th May - RHYTHM & MUSICALITY WORKSHOP, Dorking. Know your salsa instruments, play with the rhythm and enjoy dancing with the music! 2016 3rd December 2016- CHRISTMAS PARTY, Dorking. Lots of fun and great dances, Christmas hats, little Santa helpers and a wonderful raffle! Don't miss out our themed lessons all year around!. From Salsalloween (October), to Salsalentine's Day or Panqué/Pancake Day (February), or RedNose Day (for which we raised over £100) including birthday celebrations for our salseros!
